This katakuchi pouring vessel takes inspiration from the elegant form of bamboo. Uniquely designed with intentional “chips” at the rim and foot, metallic glaze seeps through these points like fine cracks, creating a one-of-a-kind visual texture.
The combination of fluid glaze movement and sharp form gives the piece a distinctive presence. Designed with excellent pour control and clean cutoff, it serves beautifully not only as a sake or shochu carafe, but also for sauces and dressings.
Both functional and artistic, it’s a piece that delights with every use.

To prevent staining from dark liquids, we recommend pre-use sealing (medome).
Always dry thoroughly after use to avoid mold around the unglazed foot.
