Kiseto ware is made using a glaze made only from wood ash and clay, and the aim is to create a kiseto color that seems to seep out from the clay, which was called the "miraculous golden color" during the Momoyama period.

This small bowl is useful for a variety of dishes every day.

It is also popular as a soup base for somen noodles or hiyashi noodles, or as a topping for hot pots.

Tea masters also use it as a summer tea bowl.
