My style of pottery is a harmonious blend of gentleness and sophistication, with a slightly bluish cream-colored glaze as the base and dark brown metal that flows at a high temperature from the rim wrapped around it with a brush.

When using Shigaraki red clay, the pieces have a stronger blue tinge and a slightly antique feel compared to pieces using white clay.

The gentle texture of the dish makes it suitable for both Japanese and Western cuisine. We aim to create dishes that are easy to use for everyday use and do not interfere with cooking.

[Line carving plate 24cm]

A flat plate of about 24 cm. It is difficult and time-consuming to make a straight plate without any warping, but it gives me freedom to create my own work. The pattern changes with each plate depending on my mood and inspiration. The motifs of the patterns include "the spread of tree branches and roots, cracks in concrete, and traces of lightning."

The picture is carved out with a round-tipped iron pen, glaze is applied, and then painting is done on top with a thin brush. It takes time, but it's fun.

The iron in the red clay undergoes a chemical reaction during firing, sometimes resulting in a bluer color and sometimes an antique white plate.

*1: Ceramics are something that you can enjoy as they change over time, but if you leave colored drinks like coffee in a container for a long time, it can cause bleeding.

If you want to use it for a long time in the same condition as when you purchased it, we recommend sealing the pores.

Also, if you leave it in a damp place for a long time, mold may grow near the base, so please dry it after use.

*2: Microwave and dishwasher safe. If you want to extend the life of your microwave, it is best to use it less frequently. If you use a dishwasher, there is a higher risk of the dishes cracking if they are stacked or touching each other. The edges are particularly prone to chipping, so please use at your own risk.
